Lost Note

Running up the stairs, time was against me, the meeting had started five minutes ago and I was needed urgently. As I ran up three steps at a time, I paid no attention to either friends or foe as they waved “good morning”. Not sure what took my eyes there but I saw it, nicely folded and neat, looks like it’s been there for just some few minutes by the stairway window. I stopped and picked it up and it read:

“Didn’t want to disturb your sleep, please do pick up the kids from school by mid day, I would be on a sales campaign with my boss at the time. Thanks. Lily”.

Who must have dropped the note, “I do hope they had read it else the kids would be stuck in school” I muttered to myself as I ran up the rest of the stairs.

We Are Back!

16/09/2014 ~ SuccessJourney Daily Post with Nicholas Akomire ©2014
Hello there! How are you doing? Did you say it’s been a while? Are you kidding me? It’s been ages and SuccessJourney Daily post has been on break. Hmm… I am quite sure you missed the Daily Posts. Believe me, Daily Post missed you too.
It was quite interesting to get feedbacks from so many readers trying to find out why the break and if I was doing fine. Am honoured to have such a wonderful  person as you who would so much as care about my well being. Thanks a Zillion.
The break started with me going for a camp meeting which on its own was such a wonderful experience that for so many months and years to come, I will still be reaping the benefits of it. God be praised. And yes, I prayed for you. At the end of camp while preparing to resume daily post, my phone packed up. The little piece of device wont just come up…anyways that is history. The good news is that we are back.
During the period of the break, I had the time to reflect on so many things, had interactions with different folks on different issues, took time to study some trends, got feedbacks from speaking, listened to different articles and stories and read quite a bit on different subjects.  All of these and many more we would learn from and review as we progress on SuccessJourney Daily Posts.
It’s good to be back and it’s quite great to have you here with me. Thanks once again.
Always remember: success is a journey…and it’s great to have people who would always support you down the road.
Have a wonderful day.

Ways To Achieve Your Goals Faster and Have Fun While At It! – (7) Visualize Your Dreams

21/08/2014 ~ SuccessJourney Daily Post with Nicholas Akomire©2014

Visualize Your Dreams
Visualize Your Dreams

“We must not be afraid of dreaming the seemingly impossible if we want the seemingly impossible to become reality” ~ Vaclav Havel

One of the most powerful things our mind can do for us is its ability to visualize something that has not yet taken place. With your mind you can be anywhere you want to be with whoever you want to be with and do whatever you want to do. This ability can be harnessed to help you get to your goals faster. This is called the power of vision.
Every great athlete will tell you that the moment they cross the finish line in first place was not their first moment to do it. They will tell you that they have crossed that line thousands of times, heard the cheers of the crowd, felt the ribbon fall, only this time it was reality.
Just like those athletes, experiencing the fulfilment of the goals in your mind even when it is not yet a reality gives you the courage and determination to pursue it. It gets you excited at the many possibilities that you can achieve with that goal.
To do this effectively, have your goals written down. Now ‘see’ it & ‘feel’ it. Be there, be where you want to be, use your imagination – what can you hear? What can you see? Who’s with you? Make things even more powerful and quicker by creating a vision board.
Doing this often will always keep you determined and happy. Do not limit yourself to the possible when you can reach for the impossible.

“You have to begin to tell the story of your life as you now want it to be and discontinue the tales of how it has been or of how it is” ~ Esther & Jerry Hicks.

Visualize it, enjoy the feel, then go out and chase your dreams.

Enjoy your day.

I honour you.
